The reality sets in!!
A big hello and greetings to all that may enter the world of this blog...
As I type this, I'm having one of these moments--you know, the kind where you embark on an activity that until this point you have been an observer of--but never actually tried...
So here I am, giving this blog thing a go...There are far more witty authors of blogs out there and I don't really know how I fit into this world..(I have to figure out how to download pictures and all--it boggles my mind to think that I can do this via a mobile phone camera...(I'll have to research that whole thing).
I got interested in blogging from researching all the crafts blogs out there, especially the knitting ones. I must say those knitters are a truly creative bunch--and ultimately high-energy. I love reading the blogs from knitting gals that have just churned out a hand knit fair isle sweater, gotten dinner on the table, tucked their three young children into bed and read the latest 400 page biography of Winston Churchill--all in between their full time job...Makes me realize that I just must have extreme issues in the time management department.
Well, in an effort to confront my organizational shortcomings, I shall be using this blog as a marker of accountability. You see I am a classical pianist, mother of 2 young girls (ages 3 and 5), and director of my own music school, which is really not alot in the big scheme of things, but somehow one of those three big hats I wear always seems to get short shifted depending on the course of a day. To add to things, I am preparing a program for a solo recital/ recording in April 2007.
This blog shall be my pillow, to which I cry all my despair in the crunch of it all (Like for example mastering the ever-so-daunting coda of Chopin's 4th Ballade)--to hopefully sharing all the wonderfulness that comes on being a part of such a daunting yet exhilirating journey.
I hope you enjoy the ride.
xoxo,
Margaret
